Close to major art centres

Halifax is a short flight away from major art destinations in New York, Boston, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, and Europe is geographically closer to Halifax than any other art centre on the continent.

Halifax International Airport serves as the Atlantic Canadian hub for all domestic, regional and international airline services. Scheduled air service into Nova Scotia is available from all major Canadian cities, from most US cities via connecting hubs in Boston and Newark, and from major European cities via London.

The province is also accessible by ferry from the northeastern US, P.E.I., New Brunswick and Newfoundland, and is serviced by the national Trans-Canada highway system.
