Gallery Page & Strange presents In Appreciation of Gerald Ferguson
March 31, 2011

Victoria Page, BFA '01 and Victoria Strange, BFA '98, '00, of Gallery Page & Strange invite everyone to join them for a very special exhibition of selected students and friends of the late artist and NSCAD professor emeritus Gerald Ferguson.

“Gerald was passionate about his students, and many of the artists that he directly influenced ended up in his own collection. He would beam with pride whenever he acquired a new work from one of his students, and was enthusiastic to talk about it. His studio was filled with works from former students and his closest colleagues."

"This special show will include works influenced and inspired by his teaching philosophy and approach. The exhibition will include a large dirt installation by our artist Cal Lane, and paintings from Susanna Heller, Jonathan Johnson, Luke Murphy and Jack Bishop. We hope you can attend this celebration of the life and legacy of one of Canada's most important and influential artists.”

In Appreciation of Gerald Ferguson runs from April 1 – 22, 1869 Granville St. in Halifax, with the opening reception scheduled for Friday, April 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
