Four NSCAD alumni, along with eight other artists, are taking part in an international exhibition, as part of the Biennale Du Lin. The show, Lieux de Memoire, is a craft exhibition curated by Denis Longchamps, and runs from June 24 - September 27 at the Moulin de la Chevrotiere, in Deschambault, Quebec.
The four alumni are -
- Vita Plume, BFA ‘82, MFA ‘93
- Mackenzie Frere, MFA ‘05
- Sarah Alford, BFA ‘04 and
- J. Penney Burton, BFA ‘04.
New Glasgow-based artist Dawn MacNutt and new MFA ceramics student, Veronika Horlik, are also participating .
In other news, Penny Burton, BFA '04, was recently accepted into MFA in Fibers program at the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, and received the Verna Wulfekammer Art Doctoral Fellowship, valued at $6265, for the 2009 - 2010 school year.
