Berkeley Brown ’09 named student finalist in NICHE Awards
February 4, 2010

NSCAD jewellery student Berkeley Brown, who graduated in December ’09, has been named a finalist for the 2010 NICHE Awards. The annual awards, established in 1990, celebrate excellence and innovation in American and Canadian fine craft at both the professional and student levels.

Brown is one of only four Canadian students among the 80 student finalists and her work, Musical Bangle, is the only Canadian piece represented in the student fashion jewellery category.

The 2010 NICHE Awards winners will be announced at a special ceremony held during the Buyers Market of American Craft at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa., on Friday, February 12, 2010.

The awards are sponsored by NICHE magazine, an exclusive trade publication for retailers of American and Canadian craft.
