Update from the Presidential Search Committee
September 10, 2012

The Presidential Search Committee recently had its second meeting and is in the process of sending out an RFP (request for proposal) to search firms.

Members of the committee also resolved to broaden the search for input on the qualities and experiences valued in a new president through other forums. We’d like to add that we are still open to hearing your opinion on this topic. You can participate by submitting responses to the following:

1. What qualities and experiences would you value in a new President?
2. What do you believe are the essential components of the new President’s mandate?
3. What opportunities and challenges might the new President anticipate?

Please submit your responses to Fran Cameron, secretary to the presidential search committee, at nscad.ca by September 17, 2012. Responses will be held in confidence by the secretary and other members of the search committee.

The search committee will continue to send regular updates as the search unfolds.

Yours truly,

Grant Machum,
Chair of the Presidential Search Committee
