New award recognizes NSCAD student volunteers

The Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteerism Award, established by the Honourable Mayann Francis, is designed to enhance community development by recognizing full-time NSCAD undergraduate students who demonstrate leadership and participation in the voluntary sector. To be eligible, students must  have completed a minimum of 30 credits at time of application. The award is valued at $500.

To be considered for this competitive award, applicants will demonstrate a high level of achievement, supported by the following:

•  Student statement
•  Summary of volunteer experiences
•  Voluntary sector recommendation
•  NSCAD transcript and academic file
•  Faculty recommendation
Applications will be reviewed and the recipient selected by the President’s Awards Committee.
