Interpreting Dreams
Ever wonder how your dreams play into your conscious world and how it can affect your own art practice and life?  This workshop will help you gain a better understanding of how your dreams affect and reflect your conscious and unconscious life, and how that may play out in your own artistic pursuits.  Beaty Popescu holds a Diploma of Analytical Psychology (official Ph.D equivalency) from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland; Bachelors degree in Fine Arts (with Honours), a Bachelors degree in Education (with Honours) and a Masters degree in Fine Arts. Popescu’s creative work was-and still is-concerned with human psychology and the dynamics of the psyche. Please bring a pen and notebook to the first class. Class limit is 15.

Financial Management for the Arts
This course is designed to help artists and arts administrators gain a means of confidently working with financial management in their own practice, artists run centres, and arts organizations.  Using a basic accounting program, the instruction will lead students to a more efficient means of tracking budgets, formulas for anticipating projected budgets, and working within funding formulas. Class limit is 15.

Interior Decorating
An overview of interior decorating and the elements of the design process is introduced with an emphasis on planning and problem-solving interior spaces.  Discussions and studio exercises will focus on design principles, colour theory application, decorating styles, basic space planning, simple architectural drawing and selection of room elements including furnishings, window dressings and lighting. An independent project might include redecorating a residential or office space, developing a floor plan to scale or creating as sample board of paint and fabric selections. Bring a notebook and pen to the first class. Class limit is 15.

Engaging Students in Learning: Building enhanced cultures of learning
Jeanie Cockell, www.jeaniecockell.com,  will engage participants in an interactive journey to identify, apply and practice  effective teaching as part of building enhanced cultures of learning. This one-day introductory course will include the following: Designing interactive learning cultures, Teaching and Learning basics; Designing engaging Lesson Plans; and, Assessing teaching effectiveness.  This course is structured for instructors and teachers interested in pursuing opportunities to enhance their current teaching practice.
