Using earthenware clay, students will explore the basics of construction through the introduction of hand-building, and up to throwing on the wheel, as well as the principles of firing clay, slips and glazes. During the course, students will have clay to work with and have the option of purchasing more should they require it. There will be two bisque (first) firings and two glaze (last) firings so that students can explore the initial process in order to fine-tune their final projects. Class limit is 12.
