Introduction to Letterpress PrintingUnlike many obsolete technologies, letterpress hasn’t vanished. Letterpress has been seized by artists, and has been transformed into a 21st Century art-making medium. There’s a letterpress resurrection going on, and you can be part of it. In this introductory course, you will learn type setting by hand, locking up, Vandercook press basics, and ink modification; you will also learn about paper as a receptacle for printing.
