Love art and have an interest in working with kids? Volunteering at NSCAD is a great way to get started in arts education. High School students are encouraged to participate in courses in a university setting while working with skilled instructors to educate youth on the value of art.
- Gain experience in a classroom / studio environment
- Experience first-hand the challenges and enjoyment of working with youth
- Gain valuable knowledge on teaching strategies
- Earn volunteer hours for use on your resume and for completion of school volunteer requirements
Every year, NSCAD University's School of Extended Studies offers several courses for children and teens which are open for volunteer placements. Student volunteers work in a studio setting with talented and engaging instructors.
