Erik Norbraten BDes ‘92
Erik Norbraten is a graphic designer, creative director, illustrator, artist and lover of fine meat products from Regina, Saskatchewan. Before receiving a BDes from NSCAD in 1992 he earned a BFA from the University of Regina in 1987 where he majored in painting and minored in procrastination. This fine art background has had a large influence on his subsequent design practice. He has a special interest in logo and identity design and his recent work has centered on brand identity projects. He has worked in print, on-line and broadcast for a wide range of corporate, cultural and non-profit clients. He also continues to pursue his own art which helps to keep him relatively sane.

His design work has appeared in Applied Arts, and International Logos and Trademarks 5 and has received over 50 local and national design awards. His art work has recently been seen in several group and solo exhibitions, most notably a solo show of paintings at the Art Gallery of Regina in 2005. He currently works for Brown Communications Group in Regina and continues to think that his NSCAD design professors Hanno Ehses and Horst Deppe are gods.
