Jessica Scott Kerrin is the author of highly acclaimed award-winning children’s books for boys, including The Lobster Trilogy, and Martin Bridge. Critiques from Horn Book, Kirkus Starred Reviews and the Globe and Mail claim that she adds much-needed boy protagonists to early chapter-book readers. Jessica teaches workshops on writing for young male readers, the development of chapter-book protagonists, and how to write a series; and she has delivered presentations across Canada and in the United States for organizations such as the International Association of Readers, the Canadian Society of Authors, Illustrators and Performers, the Canadian Children’s Book Centre, the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia and Mount Saint Vincent University. Over 150,000 copies of books in the Martin Bridge series have sold to date. She is currently working on The Spotted Dog Last Seen, her first mystery novel that will be published later this year.
