Tiandongding "Steven" Zuo, undergraduate exhibitor

About his painting practice, Zuo explains, "I find it useful to maintain a distance or slightly voyeuristic relationship to my point of view of reality. The questions and confusions I experience in my paintings are a stimulation for formal inventions that depict uncertainty. I find I am willing to embrace my distrust of my visual decisions which in the process of revisions leads me new pictorial discoveries. I am discovering an odd sort of harmony in these contradictions. I experience both in my own painting and personal situation of navigating different cultures."

RESOURCES
NSCAD Print Club, undergraduate group

NSCAD Print Club presents a portfolio exchange between students specializing in printmaking from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. Halifax and Dundee are both connected to long-standing histories, economies, and landscapes. Students from both schools explore these themes while addressing the topic of resources. This exhibition includes twenty-seven prints using a range of printmaking methods.

On view will be looping video projections, sculptures, sounds, and situations.

“Where there’s steam there’s fire.”

We cheers and say, “Glug glug to that!”
