Gallery 1
New Work
Toni Losey, undergraduate exhibitor

Losey is motivated by the exploration of movement through form and surface. The illusion of life is communicated using large, highly textured wheel-thrown and assembled clay sculptures.  Inspired by the duality between the inorganic fired clay and the implied movement within the constructed forms, Losey’s sculptures push a sense of life and interconnectedness between objects and organisms.

Gallery 2A
Docile Bodies
Anastasia Pindera, undergraduate exhibitor

Through the creation of large-scale brass adornment, which the wearer willingly steps into, Anastasia Pindera explores how we control ourselves through disciplinary practices. She uses photography as a tool to capture the uncomfortable encounter between flesh and metal; investigating the relationship between not only the body and the adornment but the wearer and the viewer.

Gallery 2B
Rebecca Thomas, undergraduate exhibitor

Using a variety of materials; ink, watercolour, gouache, and embroidery materials, Thomas has created a collection of nature scenes full of tangled plant life and small hiding creatures.
