Battaglia explains about her series of oil paintings of collaged interior spaces: “The collages themselves dismantle images of modern architecture to create a confusing blend of converging perspectives that is meant to leave the viewer ungrounded. This series stems from personal experiences of home and the subtle negotiations between the expected use of architectural space and the power of human relationships.”
