Interlibrary Loans and Novanet Express

The NSCAD Library is a partner in an interlibrary loan consortium called the CAUL-DDG group. We use an automated system called Relais to manage the delivery of materials from one library to another for the use of our patrons. This system allows us to quickly order books, articles and other media from libraries in the Atlantic region, across Canada, and around the world. In turn, we loan our circulating materials to patrons of libraries outside the Novanet system.

As a partner in Novanet, we also participate in a free document delivery service between Novanet libraries called Novanet Express.
Are you a NSCAD patron searching the Novanet Catalogue and the items you want are at another Novanet library?
Use our free Novanet Express service to have the book(s), or a photocopy of an article or a section of a book, delivered to you.

Are you a NSCAD student, graduate, staff or faculty member searching the Novanet Catalogue and not finding what you need?
Use this form to order items from libraries outside the Novanet system. Check the Borrowing/Lending Outside Novanet Policies and Procedures page if you have questions or are having problems using the form.

Are you the ILL Department of a library outside the Novanet system and want to borrow from us?
If you don't have access to AMICUS or another automated ILL system, use this form to send us your request. You will need to be registered with Relais in order to use the form. For fee and loan period information, or to register with the Relais system, check our External Libraries ILL Policies page.

Are you an Off Campus Borrower (using either a Novanet card or your Public Library card) searching the Novanet Catalogue and not finding what you need?
We recommend that you contact the Interlibrary Loan Department of your closest public library branch to receive assistance obtaining a copy of whatever you need.
