Can anyone register in an Extended Studies course at NSCAD?
Yes, Extended Studies offers courses for individuals aged 16 and older at every level, from the curious to the professional. Read course descriptions carefully to ensure the course matches your interests and level of experience. Please see Current Semester for more details.

Do you offer courses for children and teens?
Yes, Extended Studies is pleased to offer an ever-expanding program of courses for young artists and designers aged 5 to 16+. Please see Youth Programs for more details. The Canada Revenue Agency has also implemented a 'Children's Arts Tax Credit' for which several of our youth programs are applicable towards. Where are courses held?
Currently, all Extended Studies courses are held at NSCAD University’s Granville and Port campus. 5163 Duke Street or 1107 Marginal Road.

Where can I buy supplies?
Most Extended Studies courses require that students purchase supplies. A list of required and recommended items for your first class is outlined in course descriptions; instructors will outline additional supplies during the first class. The NSCAD Art Supply Store is located in the lower level of Granville Mall at 1874 Hollis Street; open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, the store can be reached by phone at 902 494.8176 or

Do Extended Studies courses count towards a university degree at NSCAD?
Currently, Extended Studies courses and certificate programs do not ladder into the University’s credit programs.
