Andrew Rabyniuk was born in Calgary, Alberta but has lived in numerous cities across Canada. He studied architecture at the University of Manitoba (B.E.D, 2004) and recently completed a degree in textiles and arthistory from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD, BFA 2012). His interdisciplinary practice includes textile craft, installation and relational performance projects. His interest is in the reciprocity between our physical surroundings and our subjective experiences and participation within them. Through traditional and not-traditional ways of manipulating and dyeing fabric his current work focuses on the correlation between material processes and social patterns.
