I was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and grew up within a small but thriving arts community. After briefly studying engineering, I found myself at NSCAD University, in Halifax, where most of my time was spent with a camera in hand. My passion for photography has since grown intensely and I see it as a very appropriate medium to describe our contemporary world. I strive to produce work that is both visually and intellectually captivating, and feel strongly that work should be able to engage with a broad audience. I now live in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I continue to build and develop my practice further. I also teach photography through the NSCAD School of Extended Studies and work commercially as a photographer across Atlantic Canada.
