I am a community focused, mixed media artist living in Halifax. I graduated from NSCAD in the spring of 2011 with a BFA, Fine Arts major in painting. The primary focus of my work engages the relationships between people, community and nation, often literally. When the weather is right I often take my practice to the streets, engaging the public and my community on walkways creating murals in chalk. In the fall of 2011, I represented Canada
as an international judge for painting at the 8th International Abilympics in Seoul, South Korea. I continue to volunteer for Skills Canada, judging and coaching painters with disabilities in Nova Scotia. From September 2011 to August 2012, I was a Community
Artist in Residence in the town of Lunenburg. This role cemented the relationship between my art and my interest in community engagement. I was asked at various points to be an illustrator, judge, mentor, teacher, consultant and co-designer.
