Michael D. McCormack is an interdisciplinary artist from Halifax and has successfully received grants from Arts Nova Scotia, Canada Council, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Michael has sat on peer review juries for the Canada Council for the Arts, Visual Arts Nova Scotia, the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture, Eyelevel Gallery, NSCAD University, and the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture, and Heritage. From 2009-2013 he worked as Director of Eyelevel Gallery and representative for the Association of Artist-run Centres from the Atlantic. He has co-curated exhibitions throughout Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, and Ireland, and exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries, festivals, and artist-run centres across Canada. Michael recently completed his MFA in Intermedia at NSCAD University (2015), was the curator for Nocturne Art at Night (2016), continues to exhibit throughout Canada, and is the Artistic Director of Flotilla, an assembly of Artist-run Centres in Charlottetown PEI in September 2017.
