In 2004, Rachel de Condé completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, with a major in ceramics and minor in art history. While completing her BFA, she attended the Rhode Island School of Design (2002-2003), where she continued to study ceramics and art history. In 2004, she became a resident at Harbourfront Center in Toronto, Ontario. After spending a year at Harbourfront Center teaching, exhibiting and producing work, she moved to Regina, Saskatchewan where she completed a Post-Baccalaureate in ceramics at the University of Regina (2006). She went on to complete a Masters in Fine Arts in Ceramics at the University of Washington in 2008. Rachel moved back to Nova Scotia after completing her MFA and has since taught courses at NSCAD through the ceramics department and School of Extended Studies. She is currently putting the finishing touches on the renovation of a new studio space in Shubenacadie, N.S, where she will make work and teach classes.
