WHY ART?
Seeds Gallery is a revenue generating, not-for-profit commercial art
gallery featuring the work of students and alumni for the Nova Scotia
College of Art and Design University. Our goal is to provide a
commercial venue for students and alumni to promote a diverse range of
artistic practices, and to enhance the Halifax art community.
Behind every item featured, from mass produced multiples to fine art, is the creative mind and skillful hand of a NSCAD artist.
Why Art? Art brings into question our daily lives and how we interact
with the material world. When you make an investment in Art, you are
making a statement of your own tastes and values, which are the very
thing that drive our culture and cultural standards. Purchasing art
isn't just about decorating your home. It's about making a statement and
supporting ideas.
The new 1000 sq ft street-level gallery features a clean, contemporary design aesthetic, and is located in the Annex Building at 116-1099 Marginal Road, directly across the street from the NSCAD Port Campus. NSCAD is the only visual arts university in Canada to offer students and recent graduates a dedicated commercial gallery space.
