During their enrolment at the university, students may need assistance to work through problems or issues that relate to their personal growth and development and to their participation in the university community. The Director of Financial Aid and Student Counselling is available for consultation in regard to such matters, which might include personal, social, or academic concerns. When necessary, appropriate referrals to professional services will be made. Students experiencing concerns that may affect their involvement at the university are encouraged to take advantage of this service, which is both informal and confidential.
Extended professional psychological counselling is available at no charge to NSCAD students through the Dalhousie University Counselling and Psychological Services Centre, which is located in the Dalhousie University Student Union Building. Phone (902) 494 2081 or pick up a brochure at our Student Services Office for more details.
