#NSCAD alum Juan Ortiz-Apuy (MFA 2011) joins fellow Montreal-based artist Zinnia Naqvi to discuss their recent works within the theme of hospitality to explore their practice and friendship.
The virtual event is part of the Conversations in Contemporary Art visiting artist lecture series hosted by the Concordia University MFA Studio Art programme.

Ortiz-Apuy is an assistant professor of Critical Perspectives on Inclusion in 3D Art Practices in the Studio Arts faculty at Concordia University. His work has been exhibited across Canada and internationally in venues such as Les Abattoirs Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (France), IKEA Museum (Sweden), DHC/ART (Montreal), Owens Art Gallery (Sackville), Carleton University Art Gallery (Ottawa), MOMENTA Biennale de l’image (Montreal), Quebec City Biennial: Manif d’art 7 (Québec), Truck Contemporary Art (Calgary), Museum London (London), Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography (Toronto), Optica Centre d’art Contemporain (Montreal), and The MacLaren Arts Centre (Barrie).
