Home Sweet Halifax

Halifax’s coastal location is part of its unique charm. It’s a city that isn’t afraid to do its own thing, at its own pace. Which means artists, musicians, and makers of all kinds have the freedom to experiment and explore. Year after year NSCAD students come from around the world to study here, some choosing to make it their forever home.

Rugged Oceanic Beauty

Take a 15-minute drive outside downtown Halifax and you will find coastal hikes, pristine lakes and forests, and fantastic beaches for swimming or surfing. Outdoor adventures also abound throughout the province, like the lush Acadian farmlands of the Annapolis Valley, the spectacular highlands of Cape Breton, and rustic villages and coves in any direction.
