Learn how to make various types of puppets, animate them, act them out and perform! During this camp, students will work on creating sets, characters, puppets and scenes to create their own stories from scratch. Students will get a basic introduction to the world of various performing arts mediums such as improv, dance, theatre, and performance art. They will develop skills in character development, narrative, improvisation and audience-interaction. This will occur through various activities focusing on puppetry through overhead projection, shadows, fabric-manipulation, miniature maquettes, etc! Students will work on separate tasks every week to work on the greater goal of putting together a production for their friends and families on the last day of class!
