In this introductory course, students will learn how to work with digital image creation and manipulation in Adobe Photoshop, part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of programs. By completing a series of assignments and exercises, students will gain a practical and theoretical understanding with the software. The basics of editing, finishing, converting, and publishing digital images will be introduced, as well as more advanced tools, such as layers, painting tools, and effects. This course qualifies as part of the Extended Studies Certificate in Digital Media.
This course is hosted online. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is strongly recommended. Additional materials required.
