In this hands-on art camp, children will create art inspired by famous artists such as Van Gogh, Kusama, Goldsworthy, and our own Maude Lewis. Each day, we will focus on an artist and learn about how they created their works of art. Children will then work on their own projects, infusing them with their own imagination and creativity. Activities will include watercolour painting, sculpture, potato printing, wall murals, self-portraits, and nature art. Exploring art history will be dynamic, inspiring, and hands-on. Children will be encouraged to take chances, get messy, make mistakes (thanks Ms. Frizzle!), and most importantly, have fun!
