Laura de Palma

Laura has lived on the East Coast for most of her life (23 years in fact). She trained as an elementary school teacher at Mount Saint Vincent University and completed alternative education internships at the Museum of Natural History and the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21.

For the past 2 years, she lived on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean working as a substitute teacher and in the learning department at the Science Museum in London. Most of her time in Europe was spent traveling, visiting museums and galleries, and drinking tea.

Through her teaching and alternative educational experiences, Laura loves to create a welcoming environment for children to create, explore, inquire, laugh, and have fun. She is inspired by science and nature and hopes to help others to become inspired by the world around them.
