At NSCAD, you will have nearly unlimited access to your own studio space, using some of the best facilities in Canada. Our galleries host over 125 student shows per year and artists from around the world visit year-round. You will take in beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean from our Port Campus and work in a fantastic warren of Victorian loft studios on our Fountain campus.

Make your mark on Halifax
Tucked away on the east coast of Canada, Halifax is an exceptional playground for artists. We have an energetic, do-it-yourself spirit and a supportive creative community that welcomes new ideas.
If you can imagine it, you can make it happen in Halifax. Students, faculty and alumni have started artist-run centres, collectives, arthouse cinemas, galleries, small presses, cafés, club nights, and festivals.
Our campus is a 30-minute drive from some of the best beaches and surf conditions in North America, on the wild windswept shores of the North Atlantic.
