Gary Markle is an associate professor of fashion at NSCAD University. He holds an MFA from NSCAD University, Halifax, NS, Canada (1995) and a BFA from Parsons School of Design, New York, NY, USA (1988).
Markle has received many grants, including the Nova Scotia COVID-19 Health Research Coalition (2020), the Canada Council, Research and Creation Grant (2018), the SSHRC Partnership Engage Grant (2018), the Canada Council, Arts Abroad Grant (2018), the Arts Nova Scotia, Grants to Individuals (2017) and theSkin Deep, collaborative NSCAD University Research Development Fund Grant (2016).
