All NSCAD international students have mandated health insurance StudentVIP. You can create an account through this link, print out your plan card, and access all the information you need about your coverage and services.

You will need this plan card to go to Saint Mary’s Clinic or any other medical provider, including a pharmacy. We recommend providing your plan card to any medical assistance provider.

There are also numerous walk-in clinics around the province that students can use. These clinics generally have a long wait time, so please set aside a whole day if you use this service. The closest provider to Fountain Campus is Scotia Square Medical Clinic.

Nova Scotia’s Health Insurance Programs are designed to provide eligible residents with coverage for medically required hospital, medical, dental and optometric services with some restrictions. Visitors to Nova Scotia are not considered eligible residents and are not eligible for coverage.
