RESEARCH CENTRES

Research at NSCAD is constantly evolving, based on faculty interests, pedagogical needs, and emerging cultural conversations. We stress the importance of speculative, critical, studio-based, non-instrumental creative research work that contributes to the local, regional, national, and global culture. Our strategic priorities include Visual and Cultural Literacies, Sustainability and Adaptability, Material Exploration, and Art/Design Education and Pedagogy.
