Registration Information
2025-26 ACADEMIC YEAR REGISTRATION
The 2025/26 Academic Timetable for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Winter 2026 classes will be available in the Self-Service Portal for viewing and planning only starting Wednesday, March 5 in the afternoon. Please note that the timetable could change at any time over the next several weeks.
Registration will open for current NSCAD students on Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21.
We highly recommend that current students register for courses as soon as registration opens. Early registration gives you an excellent chance to register for courses that are mandatory as part of your degree requirements and helps ensure you remain on track to graduate. It also helps prevent courses from being cancelled due to low enrolment.
Students will be assigned a registration date and time based on priority registration.
Priority is determined by your program of study (for Graduate and Certificate students) or the number of credits you have completed (for Undergraduate students).
Current Students will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office informing them of their registration date and time.
Newly Accepted Undergraduate Students
Newly accepted students who are starting in Fall 2025 will be contacted by the Registrar’s Office in late May with Registration instructions.
Returning Non-Degree Students and Visiting Students
Students who have previously taken courses at NSCAD as a non-degree student or a visiting student will be able to register through Colleague Self-Service or by contacting their academic advisor starting Tuesday, April 1 at 10 am.
New and Returning PBAC and VAC Students/Academic Advising for Upper-Year Students
Students who require academic advising are strongly encouraged to register for courses as soon as registration opens. Please do not wait to register until after your advising appointment as some courses fill up quickly. Registrations can be changed during your advising appointment or at any point prior to the start of the semester.
When contacting your advisor, please:
- include your NSCAD student ID number
- consolidate all questions into a single email whenever possible
Upper-year Registration Notes
- Returning and upper-year students are encouraged to review the step-by-step instructions on the course search and registration functionality in Colleague Self-Service, making sure that courses for which they registered are listed in green with the notation “Registered”.
- Students who have problems accessing Colleague Self-Service should visit the Troubleshooting Login Issues page.
- Students who have a financial hold will be unable to register until their financial hold has been removed. Please email Student Accounts with any questions that you may have about your tuition.
