Paul David Rollmann lives and works in Kleestadt near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose music is at the forefront of his creative work. Led by an intuitive approach, his productions are reductive yet rich in anecdotes combining audio-visual snapshots, material research and the processing of moods.
As founder and creative director of his design label Airbag Craftworks, he works across fashion and product design with a focus on ecological aspects, functional aesthetics and cultural sustainability while regularly collaborating with cross-disciplinary artists. Complementary to his practice at his company airbagcraftworks.com, PDR co-runs the independent music imprint Workshop Records and has released records on labels such as Workshop, Latency and Meakusma a.o. under the alias “Even Tuell.” He has held DJ residencies and plays records across the globe.
On Monday 27th, we will have a conversation with Paul on vanishing textures and haptics in the age of digitization, and how airbag craftworks uses circular-economy practices to preserve craftsmanship across design, art, and music. Join us for this international Design Talk, with multi projector slideshow, featuring Paul’s work and photography simultaneously.
