Wood

The woodshop department provides a welcoming, spacious, and well-organized environment dedicated to hands-on learning in woodworking and related arts.

Designed to nurture creativity and technical skill, the department emphasizes comprehensive safety training and accessibility to ensure all students can fully participate.

What To Expect

Students can expect a well-equipped, supportive, and safety-focused environment in the woodshop. They will have access to major woodworking tools to learn practical and creative woodworking skills.

The workshop emphasizes safety, requiring all students to complete a comprehensive seven-week safety and fundamentals class before independent use. Students can expect to build confidence, develop technical skills, and be part of a positive, engaging learning community.

The woodshop facilities are available to students who have completed and passed the required seven-week safety and fundamentals class.

This applies to students from any department—once they finish and pass the course, they are permitted to use the woodshop independently. Individuals who have not completed the class are not allowed access to the woodshop equipment.
