Abraham Cruzvillegas (Mexico City, 1968) is a member of The Intergalactic Taoist Tai Chi Society. His work has been part of exhibitions like Documenta 13, Kassel (2012); the 12th Istanbul Biennial, Istanbul (2011); the 6th Seoul Mediacity Biennale (2010); REDCAT, Los Angeles (2009); the 10th Biennial de Havana (2015, 2009 and 1994); and the 50th Biennale di Venezia (2003), among others.
Since 1991 he taught, lectured, given tutorials, and coordinated seminars, workshops and made research at the Smithsonian Institute, the DIA Art Foundation, Skowhegan, Malmö Art Academy, Ruskin College-Oxford, Duke University, New York University, Glasgow School of Art, CalArts, the New Museum, California College for the Arts, the Nasher Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Tate Modern, the Guggenheim Museum, the University of Houston, Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad de Guanajuato, Hunter College, the Americas Society, Museo Tamayo, Centro de la Imagen, Centro Nacional de las Artes, Universidad de Sonora, Universidad de Las Américas, San Francisco Art Institute, University of California Los Angeles, the Getty Institute, University of California San Diego, the University of Virginia, the University of Florida, the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas-Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, SOMA and La Esmeralda, in Mexico, among others. In 2016, Harvard University Press published his collected writings ‘The Logic of Disorder.’
