NSCAD University is honored to present a conversation with senior officials from two of Ukraine’s most important national museums: the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Arts, and the National Art Museum of Ukraine. Join us as we learn a brief history of their collections, with a viewing of selected masterpieces. Learn how the museums have been impacted by the Russian invasion, and the measures taken to protect these cherished works of art.

At its May 5 meeting, NSCAD University’s Board of Governors approved the proposed budget for the university for 2022-2023. The budgeted revenue for the year is $19.4 million and budgeted expense is $20.5 million (a decrease of 9% and 3% respectively from the 2020-2021 budget).
This year’s Nova Scotia Access Awareness Week takes place from May 29 – June 4, 2022. This is an annual celebration to raise awareness and engage Nova Scotians on issues around accessibility and inclusion. The MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning is seeking two NSCAD alumni who have graduated in the last two years to participate in a Community Studio Residency starting in September 2022. Located at 50 Queen St. in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia this year long residency is hosted by the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning.
