Update: Positive COVID-19 cases in the NSCAD community

We appreciate that news of positive cases on campus may make members of our community concerned for their well-being and the health of those in their households.

Nova Scotia Public Health will identify and send a separate letter (through NSCAD) to anyone who may have been exposed as a close contact. At this time, we have no reports of positive cases from first-year students. The current locations associated with the reported cases are at Fountain and Academy campuses, but it is very likely that cases may be reported involving locations at Port Campus given individuals regularly travel between all of these buildings.

We have been adhering to public health guidance since the beginning of the pandemic and have confidence in the advice and protocols we have been following.

As we have previously shared, we encourage everyone to monitor their own health for symptoms, and to act accordingly. Please remember you can pick up testing kits for home use again tomorrow at the Art Bar (1873 Granville Street) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
