The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) University’s year-end showcases run from April – May, featuring student work from fine arts, design, film, fashion, and craft. Come see them show off their creative talents!

All shows are open to the public, and nearly all of them are free. We look forward to seeing you at NSCAD!

Spring Makers' Market

Come to NSCAD’s annual spring market featuring work by NSCAD students. Find anything from reworked clothing, to photos, paintings, ceramics, and more!

Ceramics Open House

The NSCAD end-of-year Ceramics Show is organized and curated by the Studio level students. Participation includes students from 2nd year to 4th year, with around 35 students participating.

Sculpture Open House

The NSCAD end-of-year Sculpture Show features work by students in our Intro, Intermediate, and Advanced Sculpture classes, as well as work from students in Digital Fabrication and Wood classes.

Sculpture in Point Pleasant Park

Students in Mathew Reichertz and Kim Morgan’s interdisciplinary site specific class present their public art works in Point Pleasant Park.

Academy Open House: Media Arts

Our Academy Campus opens its doors wide and welcomes the public to see work from our students from Expanded Media, Photography, Film and Animation.

Students from Intermediate (D103) and Advanced (G400/410) painting classes will show their work. 

April 21 - 25

Student Art Awards

NSCAD University is proud to present the annual NSCAD Student Art Award. This celebration of achievement is a recognition of our students’ outstanding work with one $5,000 purchase grand prize, and nine $1,000 best-in-category prizes. The grand prize-winning artwork will also be added to the President’s Art Bank, part of NSCAD University’s permanent collection.

The Student Art Award provides young artists across ten disciplines at the university with vital visibility as they embark on their careers.

Film Screenings

Students from the NSCAD Film Program screen their end-of-year films for one night only at Park Lane Cinemas.

Fashion Show

Our Fashion Show showcases the work of new and emerging fashion designers. From classic to abstract designs, our students speculate on the future of fashion and metalsmithing. Come to our Alderney Landing in Dartmouth for a jaw-dropping runway show conceptualized and crafted by our fashion and jewellery students.

Jewellery and Metalsmithing Displays

Jewellery students will show their work to their fellow students in cabinets outside their studios on the Fountain Campus. 
 
Public event: Student work will be shown and be sold at the annual Fashion show on April 26.
April 27-30

Design Week

Join us for four days of exhibitions, hands-on workshops, expert talks, live performance, and awards that celebrate human-centred design practice, material innovation, and design’s expanding role in society. Meet graduating students and faculty, hear designers working at the intersection of innovation, sustainability and wellbeing, get tactile and sonic in a studio workshop, and experience a live performance that turns material research into music and visuals.
 
 
April 30 - May 11

Graduate Exhibition

The 2026 NSCAD Graduation Exhibition displays work from our graduating class of students at the Anna Leonowens Gallery. Curated by students, this exhibition showcases high-tier art works, celebrate the hard work of our graduates, and gives the public a sense of the breadth, depth, and quality of art made at NSCAD.
