Calling all NSCAD graduates in the GTA: We’re hosting an alumni event in Toronto

NSCAD University is coming to you, Toronto!
The Halifax-based art, design, and craft school is hosting an alumni event in Toronto on Friday, October 25, 2019. The occasion will be used to welcome Dr. Aoife Mac Namara, the recently appointed president of NSCAD University, with a reception in her honour. All NSCAD alumni in the Greater-Toronto-Area are invited to attend and enjoy an evening of catching up with old classmates, and meeting new acquaintances.

This will be a great opportunity for NSCAD alumni to network with their peers, reminisce about the good old days in Halifax, and meet NSCAD’s new president, all the while taking in the exhibition Listen, speak and sing by Nadia Myre.

Myre is a contemporary visual artist from Montreal, and a recent winner of the Banff Centre for Arts Walter Phillips Gallery Indigenous Commission Award.

Dr. Mac Namara will be joined at the reception by a number of her colleagues from NSCAD University, including Dr. Ann-Barbara Graff, Vice President, Academic Affairs; Linda Hutchison, AVP, University Relations; and Melanie Colosimo, Director, Anna Leonowens Gallery Systems. The event will run from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art, 401 Richmond Street West, Suite 124.

All NSCAD alumni from the GTA are welcome, and can confirm their attendance by emailing rsvp@nscad.ca by October 20.
