Dear NSCAD community,
As summer advances, so too has the search for NSCAD’s next president. In July, the search committee met with its partners at Perrett Laver to consider a full candidate field of several dozen applicants. Following a review of CVs and accompanying information, the committee generated a long list of candidates for further consideration.
Over several weeks, Perret Laver conducted further in-depth assessments of the long-listed candidates against selection criteria identified during extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders at the start of the process. Our search consultants presented these assessments at a meeting in early August with the committee that led to a short list of candidates. At every stage, the committee and Perrett Laver continue to respect and uphold NSCAD’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
Short-listed candidates will progress to committee interviews scheduled in August. Final candidates will then move to a second round of engagements with the wider NSCAD community in September.
Updates on the committee’s work will continue to be shared on the presidential search webpage, through which members of the NSCAD community are welcome to provide input to the committee at any point in the process.
