Dear NSCAD community,
The search for the next president of NSCAD continues on schedule. During the past month our search partners, executive search consultants Perrett Laver, have reached out to potential candidates and sources throughout Canada and around the world. Members of the Presidential Search Committee met recently with Perrett Laver for a mid-stage update and were pleased to see a range of excellent candidates showing a strong interest in the position and in the opportunities NSCAD has ahead.
The search committee will meet again with Perrett Laver in mid-July to review a long list of candidates and begin the process of reducing the field. The search consultants will subsequently conduct further in-depth assessments of the leading candidates against the selection criteria.
The committee is scheduled to meet again in early August to review the candidates and arrive at a short list. These individuals will progress to committee interviews later in August, followed by a second round with just the finalist candidates in September. The second round will include engagements with the wider NSCAD community.
Updates on the committee’s work will continue to be shared on the NSCAD website, and members of the NSCAD community are welcome to provide input to the committee at any point in the process via the portal on the presidential search webpage.
