Katie has a diverse professional background and has worked in academic libraries and in the health care system. As a librarian she has focused on systems and technology, access and discovery, teaching, and resource sharing.

Katie’s research interests are in the intersections of craft, art and mathematics and she has been a member of the research collective, Mathweave, since 2013.
