Background

Having lived, studied, and travelled coast to coast in North America, Rachel de Condé returned to the Maritimes in early 2009 and shortly after, opened a studio under the name Rachel de Condé Ceramics. In 2020, de Condé built a studio and moved her pre-existing studio onto her property, where she will continue to explore installation and functional work. de Condé received her MFA in 2008 from the University of Washington and her BFA in 2004 from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD), where she now holds a regular part-time faculty teaching position. Previously a resident at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Ontario, de Condé has participated in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the United States. Most recently, she participated in the group exhibition, Imagery and Illustrations, in New Orleans, Louisiana
