Artist Talk: Wednesday, March 27, 12 Noon

March 26 – 30, 2019
Opening reception: Monday, March 25, 5:30–7PM

delaminate explores illusory surfaces sourced from architecture to speak of the world-building that occurs in both physical and digital realms. Using the device of architectural follies, or impractical structures often found in gardens, the exhibition presents sculptural and printed forms belonging to familiar ornamental conventions. Junk buildings inform the logic of this folly, specifically malls, atriums, and airports. The exhibition employes the vernacular of these spaces to question how values of excess and proliferation have embedded themselves into our physical and virtual understanding of the world.
