José Vicente Martín Martínez is an artist, professor, and researcher from Valencia, Spain who teaches at Miguel Hernández University of Elche.  His artistic practice is rooted in figurative painting that wonders about the nature of reality.  His recent work also encompasses sculpture, drawing, and installation.  He has shown work in a number of solo and group shows in Spain, Italy and Sweden, and his work is represented in a variety of public collections, including the collection of the Regional Congress of Valencia.  He is also a founding member of the collective The Mutual Society of Art.
