Join us for an afternoon of activism in support of sustainable fashion! Mend in Public Day is a day of collective action in support of sustainable fashion. Bring one or more items in need of mending, or come make a patch! Supplies, tools, support and instructors will be on hand at the event.
Come learn a new skill, make a new friend!
What to bring
- What you bring, if anything, is up to you!
- Clothing with simple repairs are advised – small darns or tears, seam repairs, patching or embellishment needed. But you don’t need to bring anything! We’ll have small embroidery projects to try.
- We willl have supplies on hand. You’re also welcome to bring your own.
This is a fun community event for anyone who wants to experiment with sewing/mending techniques and/or has an interest in sustainability, economizing, and community-building.
