A virtual screening of First We Eat is available until January, 14, 2021. The indie film follows filmmaker Suzanne Crocker and her family of five as they remove all grocery store food from their home, and for one year eat only food that can be hunted, fished, gathered, grown or raised around Dawson City, Yukon on the traditional territory of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in.
The film is described as a celebration of community, and the surprisingly generous amount of food a tiny community that far North can produce.
